Introducing the BucketBoy

For those of you who haven't met him, this is our youngest son, David, aka The BucketBoy. David has lived with our family since he was 14 months old. I'm not going to tell his story here, because I'm not sure what is wise to share about this on the internet, but we are in the process of trying to adopt David into our family permanently.

Friends of mine, on a homeschooling forum I frequent, dubbed him BucketBoy because of these pictures from his earlier years:

Isn't he a cutie? He's a total extrovert, and he loves when we have visiting teams.

International adoptions are extremely difficult to achieve in Honduras. We would appreciate your prayers as we continue to work toward making David's place in our family as permanent on paper as it is in our hearts!

Hello Trish
I love these pictures of David! Thanks for reminding me of his indomitable spirit and the joy that just oozes out of him as he goes through life. I miss you all terribly. It is no fun to leave a piece of your heart in Honduras, but I know that the sadness of missing you all prompts me to bring you before our good Father very often. And that is a VGT (very good thing)!!! Love in Him

He is so cute! I am sure he has brought tons of joy to your family (not saying your family wasn't joyful before ;) I hope that everything works out for you in you trying to adopt him. I will keep him and the adoption in my prayers!

Every child should have loving parents. David and you will be in our daily prayers for God to bring this adoption to pass.

Ever since I heard his story (SL forums), I HAVE been praying about his adoption, & I will continue to pray.

I'm glad I'm not the only one who bathes their son in a rubbermaid bin.

My daughter just had a lesson in school about what the rights of children were. One that she wrote was that children have the right to have parents that love them.

It's unfortunate that many children miss out on this, but it sure looks like David has been blessed!

You and David are in our prayers. We support a young boy at an orphanage in Haiti. Former church members who visited on a mission trip fell in love with James and made the decision to proceed with adoption. Adoptions in Haiti are equally difficult and I'm afraid this woman is unrealistic about the timetable and unaware of the great difficulties involved.
