On the Third Day of Gifts for Gracias . . .

For 12 days, I will be writing about the different ways people have participated in the Gifts for Gracias Project over the years. Today is the third day. If you are unfamiliar with Gifts for Gracias, or would like to see an overview of how it works, click here for more info.

The Third Day of Gifts for Gracias: Donate items in Bulk

For a variety of reasons, many people who participate in Gifts for Gracias prefer not to put together a complete gift. Sometimes, they have access to a large quantity of a single item - say baseball caps or mugs with a misprinted logo or extra T-shirts from a VBS program - and they want to know if they can donate these items in bulk, instead of creating gift boxes. Others want to purchase an item online to donate, like a dozen wallets or a box of Spanish Bibles, etc., and have it shipped directly to our donation location.

Our answer to these requests is "YES! We can use those!"

The reality of the situation is that we receive a much larger quantity of general donations than of pre-made gifts. We simply use those items to put together the gift boxes on this end. So please, absolutely, we want to encourage you - this is a great way to help with the Gifts for Gracias project!
