Trish and Her Harp

It feels a little strange (or very strange) to do a random update while Honduras is dealing with the aftermath of Hurricanes Eta and Iota, but here we are. In the last few weeks, not only did Trish get to attend her first food packing event for Sowers4Pastors, her trip to Maryland meant that she got a chance to visit her harp. It was a happy reunion!
A Kelsea for scale

The harp hadn’t been tuned in a while, and apparently tuning is a time-consuming process. Trish was able to spend the time to tune it. Then she was able to play it for the first time in twenty years. While Trish said no one would be waiting in line to hear her play right now, she was able to make some music flow from the strings.

Allen has flown back to Florida, but Trish will be staying behind in the Pennsylvania and Maryland area for a bit. She will be spending some of her time in the home of Jim and Denise Cofer. The Cofers have been storing the beloved harp, so Trish will get to spend a little more time with it there.

Then Trish and the harp will wave good-bye to the Cofers and drive to North Carolina for a writers’ conference. Well, Trish will probably be doing most of the waving and driving, but the harp will be there, too.

Following the conference, Trish and the harp will then travel to Florida. You may recall that Trish had been trying to sell the harp. As much as she loves it, they had been apart for two decades. A new home has been found for it. Tiffany and Shawn Richardson’s daughter is going to take up the instrument. It’s an exciting opportunity for the teenager. It also means that Trish will be able to play her old friend whenever she stays with the Richardson family in Florida.
