Church Interiors

I find it interesting to see the interiors of the tiny mountain churches where we work. Some of these pictures show churches which are specially decorated for Christmas, but all year round the churches may be lavished with decorations. You can click on each photo for a closer view.

It's a blessing to see the gospel being preached to the poor! It makes me squirm to think of my church, which is not luxurious, but it looks like the basilica of St. Peter in richness when I compare it to these pictures.

I see these simple beautiful churches and I am so joyful...these are our brothers and sisters who love God and want to serve Him. They are saints and sinners just like we are, a mixture of God's goodness and our fallen nature. It is so apparent that they love their buildings and want to beautify them to show their love for God. Thanks for showing us these places of worship!Love Beth

This one got me. These decorations are so beautiful, in part because of the desperate poverty of the people. It reminds me of the widow's mite. What wonderful people of God...
