Oh man, I hope we're not in trouble with Katie's Mom . . .

Katie poses on the bike.

Allen takes Katie out for a tour of the area . . . on the motorcycle!

We'd offered to take Katie on a horse ride up Celaque mountain, but Katie is an experienced horsewoman, and a trail ride didn't offer much to interest her. Then Allen suggested he could take her out to see some of the local villages and such, on the motorcycle. Katie was gung ho.

Today, as they were setting off, I sent Boo out to take a couple of pictures of Allen and Katie riding away on the bike, to send to Katie's Mom. When Boo came back in, she told me, "Katie said she should go on a motorcycle ride now, because her mom might not ever let her go again."

Yikes. I could be in trouble here.

I'm sure you'll be forgiven. It sounds like a nice day out to me.

You're forgiven -- as long as Allen brings her back in one piece! I think the motorcycle ride up the mountain might top her list of "firsts". Even ahead of pulling a cow out of her bedroom!

Just noticed she has her camera bag on her shoulder -- tell her "Good girl!" from me.

Phew - they're back, safe and sound. Thanks for the forgiveness, Denise! And what do you think about my life, that I haven't bothered to blog about the cow in the bedroom incident? I guess I should do that . . .

Oh Trish, when my guys were in one of the villages they talked one of the pastors into letting them ride the motorcycle solo!! They were about 14 and 16 at the time! Of course they told me AFTER we got back to the States!! Glad she had a big adventure!

Lovely set of posts (just read from the cow fencing). Bet Katie had a great time, that pig fortress is wonderful and makes me smile, the heifer will recover and enjoy her freedom and hope the cow proof fence works well.
